GRADUATE REQUIRED –
Engineering Degree / HNC / HND
This full- time position requires an experienced customer service/support
professional who will serve as a key inside team member and support person to
Westfield’s assigned customers and Sales Leads. Working directly with the Sales
Director and other Sales Staff, this Position requires a self-motivated,
detail-oriented individual with exceptional technical, analytical and
communications skills. Must be PC literate with a
working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook. A strong work ethic,
demonstrated reliability, positive attitude, financially aware, and the ability
to work with minimal supervision are absolutely essential in this highly visible
position.
The ideal candidate will possess prior sales and/or
customer support experience in a technical environment, an Engineering degree /
HNC / HND is preferred and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multitasked
environment.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited
to:
- Provide exemplary customer service by serving as a key
contact and relationship builder for Westfield’s assigned Sales Leads and
Customers.
- Develop or possess an extensive working knowledge of
connectors and cable assemblies and the industry.
- Possess professional cold calling
skills and have the confidence to ask a customer for the order. (We currently
have over 4000 sales leads to contact during 2006)
- Update and Utilise CRM Software: ACT / Goldmine
- Prepare E-mail Newletters / Mailshots / Surplus Stock
Marketing Campaigns
- Cold Call our Sales Lead Database,
after viewing prospects / customers websites to gather marketing information,
gathering the names of key customer contacts, updating our marketing software
system, seeking out opportunities, then following through with e-mail, letter,
visit, fax or phone calls.
- Occasional visits to customers throughout the U.K.
- Obtain price and delivery information when necessary
from Westfield’s suppliers, manufacturing partners and associated companies.
- Organise and prepare samples, quotations and delivery
information to Customers.
- Follow up samples and quotations with
customers, negotiate and ask for new and repeat orders.
- Liase with suppliers and
customers for the preparation of forecast’s, Westfield stock levels, customer
contracts and Buffer Stock / Faxban / Kanban agreements.
- Receive and forward quotations and orders from customers
to Order Processing Department. Later becoming responsible for own order entry
onto the companies computerised system. (Sage Sovereign)
- Provide rapid and thorough
quotation and inquiry follow-up.
- Regularly, provide assistance to
Westfield’s Sales Representatives and personnel.
- Enter and manage information
using Westfield’s database management systems.
- Provide accurate daily communication
and responses to manufacturing via e-mail, phone, and or fax.
- Ensure rapid resolution of
customer complaints by assisting with investigations and coordinating with
internal departments, management and suppliers.
- Regularly, interface with Engineering
on technical issues and drawing requests.
- Continuously, provide updates and
reports to the Managing Director / Sales Management on customer issues,
product design in, demands, forecasts etc.
- Provide input and assistance
for continuous improvement to the Managing Director.
- Assist Accounting, Operations, etc.,
to resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Process and coordinate RMA's and
NCR's with manufacturing, engineering and customer, always complying with our
ISO9001: 2000 quality management procedures / system.
- Assist with answering
telephones and other duties as required.
Required Skills:
- PC literate with a working knowledge
of MS Office software, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Excellent typing,
verbal and written communication skills.
- Exemplary customer service
skills and attitude.
- Self motivated with strong
organizational and follow-up skills.
- Ability to learn rapidly and work
independently with minimum supervision.
- Excellent analytical skills and
